Junior Futsal Oz Nationals

The Junior Futsal Oz Nationals is Australia's most prestigious club-based Nationals event on the Australian futsal calendar, bringing together the best junior futsal/soccer players and clubs from all over Australia for an annual tournament.

The 2019 Junior Futsal Oz Nationals will be held in January beginning on Friday the 4th with all finals live-streamed and played on Tuesday the 8th at Futsal Oz's World Class Thomastown Stadium on the Main Arena - home to the Victorian Series Futsal competition.

What a tournament!

In 2018, with a total of 78 teams across six age groups, the 2018 Junior Nationals was the biggest and best tournament to date played across both the Thomastown and Brunswick stadiums.

With a total of 103 teams registered, in true Futsal Oz style, event organisers have once again stepped things up to another level and the fifth-annual Junior Nationals in 2019 is set to be the BIGGEST EVER!

Dates

Friday, January 4 to Tuesday, January 8 in 2019. All grand finals for all age groups will be played on Tuesday, 8 January 2019 at Futsal Oz Thomastown Stadium.

Fixtures released for 2019 Junior Futsal Oz Nationals

The fixtures for the 2019 Junior Futsal Oz Nationals are available now to view.

Every group game and finals fixture is listed, including the court number/name and time.

Under 8s and Under 10s will play all of their Friday to Monday games from the Brunswick Stadium, while their finals will be played at Thomastown on Tuesday January 8.

Every game for 12s, 14s, 16s, 21s including the GIRLS only 10s, 12s and 14s will be held at the four-court Thomastown Stadium.

Team & individual photo schedule

Thanks to Sport in Focus, every team and player will have their images taken during the 2019 Junior Futsal Oz Nationals at Brunswick and Thomastown.

A full schedule for each team will be posted once completed nearer the event start date advising when each team's photo will be taken.

Age Groups

Six age groups confirmed – Under 8s, 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s and 21s.

Under 8's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
  • Girls born in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls are permitted to play in one age group younger to encourage participation.

Under 10's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 2008 and 2009.
  • Girls born in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls are permitted to play in one age group younger to encourage participation.

GIRLS ONLY U10's LEAGUE

Futsal Oz is proud to offer a girls only competition and promises this is the beginning of many more girls competitions in years to come.

  • Girls born in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are encouraged to compete in the first ever U10's GIRLS competition.

Under 12's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 2006 and 2007.
  • Girls born in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls are permitted to play in one age group younger to encourage participation.

GIRLS ONLY U12's LEAGUE

  • Girls born in 2006 and 2007 are encouraged to compete in the first ever U12's GIRLS competition.

Under 14's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 2004 and 2005.
  • Girls born in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls are permitted to play in one age group younger to encourage participation.

GIRLS ONLY U14's LEAGUE

Futsal Oz is proud to offer a girls only competition and promises this is the beginning of many more girls competitions in years to come.

  • Girls born in 2004 and 2005 are encouraged to compete in the first ever U14's GIRLS competition.
  • EXCEPTION: Teams in the U14's GIRLS ONLY competition will be allowed to field two girls born in 2003 (15 years of age) as overage players.

Under 16's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 2002 and 2003.
  • Girls born in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls are permitted to play in one age group younger to encourage participation.

Under 21's

Age group eligibility criteria for the 2019 Junior Nationals is follows:

  • Boys born in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.
  • Girls born in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

GIRLS ONLY LEAGUES

INAUGURAL U10, U12 & U14 GIRLS ONLY LEAGUES are confirmed at the 2019 Junior Futsal Oz Nationals for girls born in 2004 and younger.

Venues

The venues are all confirmed and being prepared for what will be a magical week of futsal. The confirmation was recently announced on the Seriesfutsal.com website.

The Under 8s and 10s will be played at the Brunswick Futsal Oz stadium.

All other competitions will all be played at Thomastown Futsal Oz stadium. This includes all the girls only competitions as well as the open Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s, Under 16s and Under 21s competitions.

For reference, the Thomastown and Brunswick Futsal Oz stadiums are both located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and are separated by approximately 25 minutes (by car).
