With only two seasons per year and fewer opportunities to win a trophy, the significance of finals now bears more importance and becomes more desirable. With this in mind, Futsal Oz has an exciting finals format which includes all teams in any given league – the top four teams play for the GOLD CUP whilst a Silver Cup and Bronze Cup are also on offer depending on the number of teams in the league.
Futsal Oz considers the Second Week of Finals to be the end of a season and kindly asks all teams to make a commitment to playing out a season (including finals series) for the benefit of everyone to enjoy playing futsal in the social leagues.
This is the big Semi Finals week where all teams play according to their ladder position.
GOLD CUP: 1st to 4th will play semi finals for the Gold Cup. SF1: 1st vs 4th & SF2: 2nd vs 3rd.
SILVER CUP: 5th to 8th will play semi finals for the Silver Cup. SF1: 5th vs 8th & SF2: 6th vs 7th.
BRONZE CUP: 9th to 12th will play semi finals for the Bronze Cup. SF1: 9th vs 12th & SF2: 10th vs 11th.
Grand Finals Week! All Grand Finals are played – Gold Cup Finals, Silver Cup Finals and Bronze Cup Finals.
Sometimes it's just not possible to have a league with 8 or 12 teams so Futsal Oz has a unique finals structure to ensure all teams can bask in the glory of finals, regardless of the number of teams in the league. Below we have outlined the two other most common scenarios for leagues with 6 or 10 teams.
Whilst this page is designed to outline and clarify the finals structure at Futsal Oz, the stadium Competitions Manager may need to make adjustments to facilitate the finals fortnight of froth!
